Application Security (AppSec)

Application security (AppSec) is the set of practices and tools that protect software throughout its lifecycle, from design and code to production. It includes code review, SAST and DAST (static and dynamic application security testing), dependency management and penetration testing. For example, a development team catches a SQL injection flaw before launching a customer portal.
