Point-in-time recovery

Point-in-time recovery (PITR) is the ability to restore a system, database or file to the exact state it was in at a specific moment, for example just before an accidental deletion or a ransomware encryption. It depends on keeping multiple versions or change logs, and the available window is set by the service's retention period.
